Putting quality first
An illustrated talk by David Hoyle author of the ISO 9000 Quality Systems Handbook 7th Edition in which he lays down a challenge and asks “Can quality once again be the first priority and drive competitive advantage?”
He expands on what ‘quality first’ means both as a principle and in the context of the factors that influence competitive advantage at organizational and national levels by providing examples from industry. He also provides the rationale behind its inclusion as a principle in the CQIs submission to BSI for the 2015 revision of ISO 9000.
